Valentin Mihov: We will see in 3 months what of the said today is done

The President of the Professional Football League Valentin Mihov announced before “Darik radio” his impressions about the Round, lead table under the title “Together against violence”.
"The use of the gathering is to do it before but not after and the bell to ring in advance, but not after the tragic events”, Mihov commented.
“3 or 4 questions have to be solved in order to overcome football hooliganism as soon as possible. In three months we will meet again and then we will see what of the said today is done. I think that there nothing to fear of", the manager of the League continued.
“We, from PFL do our best to work well with the fans. We would like to make the stewards professionals and they to get in touch with the police. It may be as it is in England, but it will not be this year. The important thing is to happen soon. Imagine that in 4-5 years there are no excessеs at stadiums in our country. That will mean that we have achieved something”, Valentin Mihov said.
“The grace period for the bases came to an end and the European laws are very strict. If the bases are not owned by the teams it will not possible to understand who wants to invest in them. Now they are seeking excuses for the ownership. If this is solved we will see in practice who will invest and who will have desire to do something, but not to seek for excuses”, the President of the League finished.

Boiko Borisov declared war on the hooligans
Тhe Round table of Don Balon and PFL united everyone against violence

”There are four important stages in the fight against football hooliganism”, the mayor of Sofia Boiko Borisov announced at the round table “Together against violence in football”, the latter organized by Don Balon. "I am acquainted with the problem from both sides. I know how to come out of the situation. First of all, the problem with the ownership of the stadiums, which is not quite clear, has to be solved. They must become municipal and right after that to be given to the clubs for 30-40 years. Secondly – work with the fans. The third stage is the Law on Sport as a whole. When we had a conversation with general Vasilev a few years ago, we gave the English law to the Minister at that time of Georgi Petkanov. He should have to rewrite it and to be passed in Parliament. But he gave it to minister Chilova, who entered the text for swearing at stadiums. And what should we do if at the match Pirin – Marek both sectors are swearing? To arrest all the people from the stadium?", Borisov cut short. He proposed that before a match hooligans should be “put in the district police directions and after that released". "There are fans, who cannot be changed. In England they are 7000, compared to not more than 1000 in Sofia", Borisov explained.
The forth stage is the rights of the police. "Greater power should be given to the policemen during the matches. For striking at a policeman should be given 15 days sentence. For non-execution of police direction there should be hard punishments and forbidding orders for being at a match", the mayor ended. .

THE SENIOR EXPERT OF FOOTBALL HOOLIGANISM IN THE BERLIN’S POLICE INGO ROGE SHARED PRECIOUS EXPERIENCE

At the Round table lead yesterday in "Tsarsko selo" on the subject "Together against violence", organized by Don Balon and the Professional Football League, Ingo Roge shared that before the World Championship last summer in Germany the police authorities have connected with all national federations of all the remaining 31 participant-countries and have required photos and information of the most notorious disturbers of order. This people were just not allowed to the finals in Germany. "We even went so far that we made checks by DNA tests – shared Mr Roge". According to him the implementation of policemen in the football propaganda groups is also a good decision, because in this way can be obtained information for the intentions of the "subversive elements".

The Minister of Interior Rumen Petkov also shared what was done till the present moment with the football hooligans in our country. The balance shows that 27 Botev's fans and 11 Lokomotiv Plovdiv's fans are prohibited to visit football matches. He announced that 21 Levski's fans and 6 CSKA's fans have the same prohibition, as well as visit sports activities abroad. It is curious that in the black list of the Ministry of Interior there are also two fans of FC Sportist from Svoge. The Minister Petkov admired the initiative and greeted the organizers. Finally he announced that every proposal of the fan clubs for fighting against hooliganism at stadiums will be taken into consideration.

Vesela Lecheva also expressed her opinion: I do not think that a man or institution like SAYS can solve the problems with the bases and the football hooliganism.
The Chairperson of SAYS Vesela Lecheva announced that hardly a man could solve the problem with the sports bases. "Even SAYS has no the necessary resource to do it" – Lecheva said and continued: "For 17 years, since 1990 till the present moment, all tested practices did not give the desired result. It turned out that as far as it concerns Bulgaria, there is no a universal solution of the problem with the ownership of the sports bases".
As far as it concerns the football hooliganism, Lecheva shared: "To my opinion the football hooliganism is not a Bulgarian patent. It started from West Europe and what we see in Bulgaria is just an attempt for imitation. The problem is not in hooliganism itself, it should be sought in the aggression, which the growing up show. We all have guilt for this aggression – school, street and, of course, parents and family".
The Chair-person of BFU Borislav Mihailov was more laconic: "The main problem which stays in the agenda of BFU is about the licensing the stadiums. I want to assure all present that we will be uncompromising – the dead line for licensing the stadiums will be the year 2008. After this term, if a team has not a licensed stadium it will not play in TBI “A” group!”

Bulgarian Professional Football League supported the initiative “YOU ARE NOT ALONE”

Valentin Mihov: the Libyan justice is death! My condolences

The President of PFL Valentin Mihov many times has appealed to unite against the injustice of the process against the Bulgarian medics in Libya. Bellow is a quotation of his speech after the rewarding of Footballer number one of Bulgaria for 2006: "First of all I would like to say something very serious and namely to offer condolence for the death of the justice in Libya”. Today in the African country were confirmed the death sentences of the five Bulgarian medical nurses and their Palestinian colleague. “I think that this is a crime and now you want from me to comment and to announce who is third, second and first. I feel sorry that we do not react in a deserving Bulgarian way. We should start this evening, when we chose footballer No 1 for Bulgaria as we take a stand against this crime, against this perversion justice in Libya. I reckon that this is the main question”, Mihov did not hide his pain. "And the other thing… I would like to ask you, the journalists, not to compare footballers with ambassadors. If the ambassadors were like the Bulgarian footballers, we would be in Europe far before 2007. Everything else that comes to Bulgaria after this tragedy is needless. It seems that we do not think about our close friends… I do not know how to express myself in other way… those, who were sentenced to death in Libya”, ended the former president of BFU.

Look around and see, that we are all debtors to our children as far as it concerns the sports bases. Look at the wretched grounds, destroyed stadiums, ramshackle halls. For what alternative of drugs, alcohol and cigarettes we talk about, provided that there are no places for our children where they can sport. Yes, we all help, but it is time when the governing people have to undertake a national responsible policy. The Bulgarian sport needs state subsidies, which to be included in the budget frame of the country”, the President of PFL called on. The chairperson of SAYS Vesela Lecheva was also given a price for a particular contribution to the national programme “Children and Football”. “It is painful when I see the miserable bases’ condition.
